AVIATION FIELD ENGINEER (M/F/D)

YOUR TASKS

  • Provide onsite developmental support for Garmin avionics systems, including providing support outside of normal business hours
  • Generates customer specific engineering communications such as coordination memos or customer notification documents
  • Performs troubleshooting of advanced avionics issues on an integration rig or aircraft
  • Supports customer ground and flight test efforts, including collection of aircraft data during testing
  • Assists in creation of aircraft interconnect documentation 
  • Leverages strong working knowledge of integrated test benches and provides leadership to customers on conducting testing
  • Work closely with Garmin engineers in the USA and customers to coordinate issues and resolve moderately complex problems
  • Provide technical information to customers and access to Garmin technical documents 
  • Applies Garmin’s Mission, Vision, Values and Quality Policy and enthusiastically exhibits a desire to see Garmin succeed

YOUR PROFIL

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math or Physics
  • Demonstrates advanced troubleshooting skills of avionics issues
  • Driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems
  • Demonstrates thorough working knowledge of aircraft systems and their avionics interfaces
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of aircraft data acquisition methods
  • Demonstrates intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office, including familiarity with AutoCAD or MS Visio
  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
